Google - Memorial Day logo?

Since last night I was looking to see what Google's search page logo would be for Memorial Day 2010. I see they had none. Then once the full interface appears you see a mention with the US Flag and yellow ribbon but it doesn't link to anything, such as a search for "Memorial Day US" or something else appropriate.

What's the deal Google? Yahoo does it...

Friend pointed out bing.com has handled commemorating the day very well. Here is also a LA Times Article on this.
